When I was somewhere around 3 years old in Bulgaria my father had to buy groceries and my mother was at work. I was hungry and he said "Alright Mitko. Can you stay by yourself for about 30 minutes. Here is my cell phone number and how you use a phone if you need help."
Anyway he left and a person walked in maybe 20 minutes after. I thought he was a burglar although he may have been a friend of my fathers and he looked at me for a moment. I said in Bulgarian language "Mislish li che dobro vinagi pecheli sus smetka na nashto ocelavane?" [Do you think that Good always wins with calculation towards the survival of our society?] (Meaning the country, Bulgaria.) He continued looking at me but he moved his legs downward so he could speak on my height level. He didn't say anything and I added [Ako nyakoi pushi ima bolka posle.] If someone smokes they have pain later.
He left shortly after and didn't steal anything. My father arrived and I explained the monologue. I added "Vikamgo borbata sus cafe e melatonin."
He called me an idiot. Then I asked him "If a person drinks coffee they wake up for work. Many years later after their retirement they don't have energy. If a person takes melatonin at night they fall asleep earlier. Then they don't need coffee during their day for work."
"Intelligentno e." he replied. [It's intelligent.]
I added that he's right. I should have called it the battle of melatonin and coffee. That a person should always say the good subject first.
And as I walk around in Bulgaria and New York I notice people are starting to avoid these things you know? People used to smoke in the 90s now people very rarely do it. More people brought alcohol and now most of the time it's only drank socially in small cups or at a birthday.
I told him that I think coffee cups will become bigger and people will need to make the choice. Unfortunately most people probably chose coffee.
When someone buys a small coffee it costs more to make because of the design of the cup than a larger one. Yet these people are intelligent.
"A child has time and energy but we don't have money. An adult has money and energy but they don't have time because they're working. An elderly person has money and time but they don't have energy. I think I know how to solve one of these things!" I raised my finger while saying the last part in our language because I was excited at what I was thinking.
When a person buys these 200 or 300 mg caffiene energy drinks essentially what they're buying is an amphetamine instead of even a large coffee or tea and caffeine should not be used that way.
I added during my long monologue while my father was sitting at the table. "When we were cavemen we relied on good to find food and protect children. We should rely on good instead of hitting them and just explain that if someone smokes cigarettes they're going to have pain from cancer later on by speaking to them."
He had not hit me yet and I was thinking clearly.
"There are so many issues with the world throughout all of world history. If we were created to survive we will eventually solve all of them."
The last part I added because I was thinking extremely creatively is: "Maybe just like you explained that there's a battle between angels and devils for our souls that battle is also present on earth for our minds and our bodies. Our ability to work and have a relationship, to raise children. The things that we take. The things that we avoid. What we do. What we don't do. The effect on us. The battle is being done through all of the things that they made on earth. Foods and drinks. Plants. Our fate through our actions meaning world history. That we should live long and not have illness or harm."
As most of you may know after I noticed while walking by my professor watching footage of me kneeling in front of a cross in the auditorium during lunch which fell that he probably published I guess anything I type can be taken with doubts.
The whole conversation was in Bulgarian by the way. When my mother arrived from teaching engineering to college students they discussed it in their room.
